Returns Information

Please note that the following information only applies to purchases made through the Brompton website. For purchases made through a Brompton Junction store, through any of our authorised dealers or through an authorised dealers website, please contact them directly for their individual returns policy.


Please note that items (excluding Click & Collect bikes) which were purchased on the Brompton website cannot be returned to a Brompton Junction store or through an authorised dealer unless otherwise specified.


Brompton is committed to quality; if our products have failed you in any way, please return them and we will either exchange them or give you your money back. If the product is faulty or has arrived damaged, we will reimburse the cost of return postage. Unwanted items may be returned within 28 days at your cost.

How to Return an Item

Once submitted this information will be sent to our Customer Service Team who, on average, will respond with further information within 3 working days.

Please await instructions before arranging the return of any item.

Returns (excluding Bikes)

Standard returns (excluding bikes) must be returned to Brompton directly and not to authorised stores or Brompton Junctions unless otherwise specified.

Unwanted Items

Items must be as new, unused, in their original packaging, with labels intact, and in a saleable condition.

Please note, unwanted items are returned at your own expense and should be sent by recorded delivery. We are unable to provide a refund for items which are lost or damaged in transit. Returned items must be securely protected and packaged for the return journey with appropriate postal labels and returns numbers correctly displayed.

Certain products such as food, perishables or safety items cannot be returned. Personalised items, or those made to order are also excluded unless they are faulty.

You must notify us of your intention to return within 14 days of the date which you receive your goods.

You then have a further 14 days, from the date you have notified us, to return the goods.

 

Damaged or Faulty Goods

If on arrival, the product is shown to be defective, or if a product displays a fault within the warranty period, we will either exchange the items or refund your money including the cost of return postage.

Postage up to the value of £10 will be refunded once we receive a valid postal receipt. Should the cost of return postage be higher than £10 please confirm with us before returning the item. Please keep a clear photo or PDF scan of your postal receipt as this may be requested prior to the refund being performed.

Please note, items should be returned by recorded delivery. We are unable to provide a refund or exchange for items which are not received.

 

Bike Returns

Bikes in stock with store collection (Click & Collect)

This refers to any bike which has been purchased through the Brompton website and collected from your local dealer using the Click & Collect method.

Bike Returns must be returned through the authorised Brompton dealer from which the collection was made unless otherwise specified.

Bikes must be unused, in their original packaging (including bike box), including all manuals and accessories and must be in saleable condition.

Bikes in stock with home delivery

This refers to any bike which has been purchased through the Brompton website and delivered to your home.

Unwanted bikes are returned at your own expense and should be sent by recorded delivery. We are unable to provide a refund for items which are lost or damaged in transit. 

Only bikes that have been unused, not ridden on public paths and have no signs of use or wear can be returned.

You must notify us of your intention to return within 14 days of the date which you receive your bike. You then have a further 14 days, from the date at which you have notified us, to return the goods.

​Custom bikes with store collection

Please note that Custom bikes cannot be returned unless they are faulty, differ from the description or the incorrect item was delivered. Custom bikes refer to bikes which have been customised to the customers reference through the “Build my Brompton” option on Brompton.com.

How will I be refunded for my return?

In most cases your refund will automatically go back to the original form of payment used for the purchase. Please note that it can take up to 14 working days to inspect and process items returned, prior to a refund being performed.
